ILLINOIS REAL ESTATE
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Broker:
To obtain a real
estate broker license for the state of Illinois, you must:
1. be at least 21
years old
2. successfully
complete the pre-license 45-hour basic transactions course
3. successfully
complete 75 class hours of broker courses at a real estate school
approved by the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate
4. pass the state
of Illinois exam
Salesperson:
To obtain a real
estate salesperson license for the state of Illinois, you must:
1. be at least 21
years old
2. be a high
school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D)
3. successfully complete the
pre-license 45-hour basic transactions real estate education
course.

be sponsored by a licensed
broker in Illinois
5. pass the state of
Illinois exam

broker?
Often even before
taking the state exam, individuals who are serious about a career in real estate
